Is NutriAgent free?
Yes, NutriAgent is free during the beta period. We'll announce any pricing changes well in advance. Your data will always be exportable and deletable regardless of plan.
How does allergen detection work?
We use a dual-layer system: AI-based tagging
and a rule-based keyword map covering 60+ ingredients across all FALCPA 9 allergens plus extensions. Both layers run on every cart item. Fatal/severe allergens
block the cart entirely — the AI cannot override this. That said, always verify with actual product labels.

What data does the AI see about me?
By default, the AI can access your allergens, dietary tags, ratings, taste profile, and pantry to personalize suggestions. You can toggle off any category in the Privacy tab — the AI will still work, it just won't reference that data. We never share your data with third parties for advertising.

Can I delete my account and all my data?
Yes. In the app's Privacy tab, you can delete individual data categories (taste profile, ratings, pantry, etc.) or delete your entire account permanently. You can also export all your data as JSON before deleting. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Where does grocery pricing come from?
We pull real-time product data and pricing from Kroger's Product API, covering 2,800+ stores (Kroger, Harris Teeter, Ralphs, Fred Meyer, and other Kroger-family brands). Prices reflect your nearest store. We're adding more retailers soon.
I have a medical condition. Can I rely on NutriAgent for my diet?
No. NutriAgent provides meal suggestions and nutrition estimates for informational purposes only. It is not medical or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making dietary changes, especially if you have food allergies, medical conditions, or specific nutritional requirements.
Is there a mobile app?
The iOS app is in development and coming soon. In the meantime, the web app works great on mobile browsers — just visit the site and tap "Get started."
How does the preference learning work?
When you rate meals, note recipe tweaks, or swap items, we build a taste profile across 7 flavor dimensions, cuisine preferences, protein preferences, and cost sensitivity. This runs on-device with zero LLM calls — only the final meal plan assembly uses AI. The more you use NutriAgent, the better your weekly plans get.
